Ann Lundin was born 1971 in Linköping, Sweden. After several years working with textiles as a seamstress she moved to Hungary in 1999 and soon started studies in painting at the Hungarian University of Fine arts in Budapest.
Beside oil paintings, pictures in collage techniques are widely represented among her art. Inspired by fashion magazines and other printed sources, shapes and silhouettes are cut out and put into a new context created by small pieces of paper in various colours and textures. At a first glance the pictures might give a flat impression because of the strong outer lines, but one soon realizes there are also humorous, dreamlike and slightly surrealistic dimensions added into them as well.
Since 2005 Ann lives and works in the beautiful area around the Danube bend north of Budapest together with her Hungarian fiancé.
