DANISH FILM IN DIALEKTUS

Perle Mohl - with her documentary about Emerillons of French Guiana - will be the guest of Dialektus Fesztivál 2008.

Scientific reports have hitherto depicted the Amerindian Emerillon of French Guiana as cultureless and doomed to disappear. This film proposes to defy these negative pictures of the Emerillon. Several young resourceful Emerillon take up to the challenge in contempt of the frequent cruxs to struggle for surviving in the forest.  They present another version of what being Emerillon is all about.

Anthropologist and documentary filmmaker. Independent researcher (AnthropE) and filmproducer (Studios de la Vanne). Lives in France with her husband and son.

The film can be seen on March the 7th at 4 pm, at Vörösmarty Mozi.
